Community Input: Taxes, service/terminal revenue and factional income

Mercs can't hold territories, or at least shouldn't, don't have any passive income, so how do they benefit from having a faction fund? I haven't been part of mercs, so I am curious.

I'm guessing part of the money used on terminals that gets deleted counts as upkeep cost? Instead of making it an automatic deduction during the terminal usage process, make it automatic deduction at the end of the day from Faction fund. So faction will receive all the money from the terminal...

    Community Input: Prison

I swear I remember writing something about prison before... Anyway... I liked how LED could compensate for the inches by telling people to get off the ramp. I enjoyed walking into prison and tort...reforming the prisoners. Taking bribes to let people into prison only to lock them in there and...

Community Input: Territories, Crime, and Drug Creation

I liked the corruption idea. Maybe have it affect agencies income only, and have active siphoning for corp districts. Have something similar for FoE, but instead affecting agencies income have it affect corp production speed. Call it something like revolutionary support. People refuse to work...

My own personal thoughts on permadeath.

That will prevent players from playing the game. While perma death won't as they can instantly make a new character. Though I like the idea of punishment by increasing the cost if you die too much.

LED and FDC fought gankers all the time. Now other factions usually only fought during wars. Mercs did whatever they were hired for. You misunderstand. Faction you are part of will help you not out of the goodness of their heart, but because players are a resource. Probably the most valuable...

This isn't a counter strike you know. In FoM I rarely even carried a weapon. I absolutely suck at fombat. Perma dying doesn't prevent you from playing the game in any way. You can jump back in right away. But it helps with immersion. Hopefully there is some decent character progression so perma...

My own personal thoughts on permadeath.

We are baby sitting now? Yeah, if you aren't good at the game you die. Why do you make it sound like an outrageous concept? As for opt in, I think it's dumb. No, I hate it. And I can't prove why. My reasons for not to have perma death is for players to stick with their choices and play the...

My own personal thoughts on permadeath.

Did anyone ever perma die without actually trying to do it? I don't think that ever happened. Then again, I don't really see what perma death will add to the game. The only use for I can see is when player screws up really bad and wants to restart their character. Though if economy this time...

Community Input: Food, Chemistry and Drug Production.

Rights? You are a criminal organisation, I don't think you can legally license drug production to another faction. If corp does get a factory from you guys and since corps can get materials for drugs cheaper you guys get a competition you can't win against, as crops will have smaller price...

Isn't that just hurting your own business? Like we both already said, yes, new members might find it lucrative. How do you imagine that? Corp going in seizing synd terminals and starting to make all the drugs themselves? It's dumb, and likely counterproductive, but sure it can be done... As...

CPC and families will be a problem on all levels. But honestly corps have no reason to get involved with synd. Yes, newer members might supply synd with chems until they get funds to operate their own enterprise. Corps are rich, they can just buy the product off you if they so need. There is no...

You needed other stuff than chems? I only remember chems and codes. Damn, memory troubles in my age... As for corps and synd. Synd doesn't rely on corps. They aren't forced into making any deals, they can just steal from the corp. I'm just arguing that as criminal organisation, Synd should rely...
