Civil Protection Commission- Call for increased funding

Today David Ord has called on the Terran Union government for increase funding to the Civil Protection Commission to combat warring criminal factions "An Increase is needed in the areas of equipment and recruitment within CPC to maintain law and order across the Terran Union".

This has come at a time where murders and revenge attacks have occured over territory and control of the lucrative illegal drug trade with the violence and bloodshed spilling on to the streets. "This behavior has shown a blatent disregard for saftey of citizens and futher resources are needed".

I agree with Commandant Ord, the CPC need more resources and manpower to combat the illicit activities that have been ongoing for quite some time now. However, how will Ord handle the corruption that will inevitably come when his organization and officers receive this increase in funding? We've seen it far too often, when officers of the law have successfully rid the streets of the Terran Union of crime, they tend to get complacent. This leads to shaking down of innocents, abuse of power, and subjectivity to bribes.
