Besides the questionable practice of a mechanic for betting, which has a ton of draw backs and its own nonsense, the rest looks like great progress!

There are several questions that pop up with the betting mechanic. What kind of return are you seeing from player made bets? What is to stop someone from hacking during a bet fight and simply keeping the victory money? Is there some mechanic to return the money should someone be caught for hacking after a bet fight takes place, say they're caught several days later. What about in game issues, is there a way to register or log any bugs that might occur that resulted in an unfair victory or loss?

Is the betting process automatic or does every fight need to be staff reviewed? If they will be staff reviewed is there sufficient information being logged from player data to come to a good conclusion that there was hacking involved? This links back to an earlier question but what happens if there is hacking involved?

It seems like this may have been done out of a great passion to provide content for the players but this is a huge topic of conversation and should be at least tested with in game currency only before moving on to real life currency.

We agree this might irk some players and cause some controversy, at the moment we really don't have many details to share besides what's already available on the platform, I added a disclaimer on the devblog mentioning that this integration and the arena module are mainly design fluff and not actual implementations, we don't have this in-game and this will probably come during beta or when we have something closer to release, trust me we're aware of the implications of the platform, until we actually start implementing things and seeing how they work, then we'll have more information to share, but I'd rather talk with proper data instead of speculating. When the arena module gets implemented, it will run without real-world money and we'll start testing letsbet on the side to make sure things work as intended.

I do kinda like the idea of betting RL and/or IG money, but as stated before there will have to be safety-measures in place for when hack/cheat

We are going to publish the ARENA module without Let's Bet at first so that we can guarantee our community with the most stable and reliable environment; in terms of safety for the player and security before we move on to whatever platform involving real-world currency.

Disappointed to see the encouragement of such a degenerate activity as gambling, particularly for a game that will mainly be played by 13-20 yr olds. Likely will be numerous issues with match fixing as well, especially in the 1v1 category.

Everything else looks great but mainly nerdy stuff.

I don't mind the LetsBet thing as long as it doesn't interfere with the main game and Is that CPC having their daily homoerotic RP sessions? Thought that was mostly a TDC thing.

That will commence once the shower room is added into the game

Great marketing stunt, just make sure that it's a bare bones feature that doesn't become a dev time sink.

I feel that the betting system could be considered a casino mechanic which in the united states is illegal for people to run with out a license. I think that you could get some legal heat on you guys big time if you incorporate bets and gambeling like that. Many games I know of such as Second Life had legal issues surrounding these scenarios. You should investigate the legality of gambeling in games thoroughly before implementing anything like that. Also to me it feels kind of scammy to use real world money for a system like that. You should put a cap on it for like 5 or 10$ so that way people can't over spend on bets.
